This giveaway is sponsored by Paragon Tea Trading Company Ltd dba Paragon Tea Room. The “Whisked Away to Japan" Giveaway (the “Contest”) is open only to residents of North America who are nineteen (19) years of age or older at the time of entry. The Contest begins on July 21 2025 and ends at 11:59PM PST on Aug 22, 2025 (the “Contest Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period will not be accepted. During the Contest Period, entrants may receive one (1) entry by making any matcha-related purchase at a participating Paragon Tea Room, paragontearoom.com, or a partner location as listed on our website. To enter without a purchase, please mail a handwritten letter including your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address to:

To enter without making a purchase, mail in a separate handwritten entry for each desired entry. Limit one (1) entry per envelope and (1) entry per purchase. All entries purchased or mailed have an equal chance of winning. Entries must be received before the end of the Contest Period. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted.
Four (4) grand prize winners will receive a Paragon prize with an approximate retail value of about $50. Prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash.
One (1) grand prize winner will receive:
2 round-trip tickets to Japan in Spring 2026 and a Hojicha factory tour in Shizuoka.
Approximate retail value: $3500 (flight tickets estimated at $1500 each and $500 value of the tea tour). Prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash. Any conditions, exact travel dates or restrictions (e.g., blackout dates, expiration) will be outlined in the prize delivery.
Four (4) weekly prize winners and one (1) grand-prize winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received. The grand prize winner will be selected on or about Aug 21st. To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must first:
- Correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question (e.g., “What is 15 + 4 × 2 − 3?”).
- Be successfully contacted within 14 days of selection via email or phone.
Failure to meet any of these conditions may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. All entries, whether via purchase or no-purchase methods, have an equal chance of winning.
The winner must claim the prize within 14 days of notification. If the prize is not claimed within this time, it may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate entrant. The prize will be delivered or made available for pick-up as determined by Paragon Tea Room.
This promotion is intended to comply with all applicable laws and is void where prohibited.
By entering, entrants agree to the collection and use of their personal information for the purposes of administering this contest, and if selected, agree to the use of their name and likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Paragon Tea Room is not responsible for any travel disruptions, delays, or cancellations. The prize must be accepted as awarded, as-is, and no compensation will be provided if the winner is unable to use any portion of the prize. Prize amount are estimates and for reference only
All prize values are approximate and provided for reference only. Actual value may vary based on fluctuations in pricing and availability at the time of booking.
By participating, entrants release and hold harmless Paragon Tea Room and its affiliates from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind arising out of participation in this contest or acceptance/use of any prize
Travel Disclaimer and Release of Liability
The winner of the grand prize is solely responsible for obtaining any necessary travel documents, visas, insurance (including health, medical, and travel insurance), and for any costs not expressly included in the prize description. Paragon Tea Room and its affiliates, subsidiaries, and promotional partners shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or any other claim arising from or in connection with participation in the Contest or use or redemption of any prize, including travel-related activities.
By entering the Contest, participants agree to release and hold harmless Paragon Tea Trading Company Ltd dba Paragon Tea Room and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest, participation in any Contest-related activities, or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize awarded.
