This giveaway is sponsored by Paragon Tea Trading Company Ltd., dba Paragon Tea Room ("Sponsor"). The "Whisked Away to Japan 2026" giveaway (the "Contest") is open only to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) and the United States (excluding New York, Florida, and Rhode Island) who are of the age of majority in their province, territory, or state of residence at the time of entry. The Contest begins on July 27, 2026 and ends at 11:59 PM PT on August 31, 2026 (the "Contest Period"). Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period will not be accepted.

How to enter

During the Contest Period, there are two ways to enter:

1. With a purchase. Make an eligible Japanese tea-related purchase at any participating Paragon Tea Room location, at paragontearoom.com, or at a participating partner location listed on the Contest page. Eligible items come with a raffle ticket carrying a set number of entries based on the item purchased. Scan the QR code on the ticket and complete the entry form. You must keep your physical ticket, as it is required to claim a prize.

2. Free entry (no purchase). Complete the free online entry form on the Contest page. No purchase or code is required. Free entry is limited to one (1) entry per person per day during the Contest Period.

All entries, whether earned by purchase or entered for free, have an equal chance of winning. The method of entry does not affect the odds of winning. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Entry values

Each eligible item comes with one ticket carrying its stated number of entries: 1 entry for any Japanese tea-related drink, pastry, popcorn, chocolate, or teaware, or a featured partner item; 2 entries for 30g ceremonial matcha, 50g hojicha, genmaicha, or baking matcha powder, 50g Japanese loose leaf tea, or a bamboo whisk; 4 entries for 100g hojicha, genmaicha, or baking matcha powder, or 100g Japanese loose leaf tea; and 10 entries for 100g ceremonial matcha (the Golden Ticket). No mechanically reproduced or automated entries are permitted.

Prizes and draws

Weekly prize draws will be held throughout the Contest Period, with a winner selected from all eligible entries received to date. In addition, community milestone bonuses may unlock further prizes and upgrades as the total number of entries grows. The grand prize consists of two (2) round-trip tickets to Japan and a guided Japanese tea experience, drawn after the close of the Contest Period. Full prize details are described on the Contest page. Prize values are estimates and subject to change without notice. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Travel-related prize details will be arranged directly with the grand prize winner.

Winner selection and notification

Weekly winners will be contacted each Tuesday following the draw, and the grand prize winner will be announced after the Contest closes on August 31, 2026. Winning raffle ticket codes may be posted on Paragon Tea Room's Instagram. Selected entrants will be contacted using the details they provided. To claim a prize, a selected entrant must: (a) correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question, as required by Canadian law; (b) confirm their contact details within fourteen (14) days of being contacted; and (c) for purchase entries, present the physical raffle ticket matching the winning code. If a selected entrant cannot be reached, declines the prize, fails to meet these requirements, or is found ineligible, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate entrant selected.

General conditions

By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry it believes to be fraudulent, or to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if it cannot be run as planned. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries. Personal information collected is used only to administer the Contest and in accordance with the Sponsor's privacy policy.
