Milk Tea Mug Cake



Satisfy your cake cravings in minutes with this easy mug cake made using our rich and bold Assam black tea powder. Simply mix, microwave, and enjoy a warm, fluffy treat!



  • Microwavable mug
  • Microwavable bowl
  • Bamboo whisk
  • Teaspoon
  • Fork


  • 3.5 TBSP All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 tsp Assam black tea powder
  • 20 ml Hot water
  • 1.5 TBSP Brown sugar
  • 1 TBSP Canola oil (or another neutral oil )
  • 3 TBSP Oat milk (or your choice of milk)


  1. Dissolve the Assam tea powder in the microwavable bowl with hot water. Gently whisk the tea shot until it is well combined.

  2. In the same bowl, add the milk and oil and stir. Microwave the mixture for 30 seconds and set aside.

  3. Combine the flour, sugar and baking powder in the mug and stir with a fork to combine. Carefully pour the hot tea mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until it is smooth.

  4. Microwave the prepared mug cake for 1:15-1:30 minutes and allow it to cool for 1 minute before enjoying!



Optional: Dust 1/2 teaspoon of icing sugar to add an extra hint of sweetness!
