Iced Matcha Genmaicha Oat

When you're craving both the grassy notes from matcha and the cozy toasted brown rice flavours from our genmaicha, turn to this recipe for a unique green tea infusion.
- 16oz Serving glass
- Chawan
- Bamboo whisk
- Teaspoons
- 1 tsp Ceremonial matcha tea powder
- 1.5 tsp Genmaicha tea powder
- 75 ml Hot water
- 2 tsp White sugar (or 1 TBSP of liquid honey)
- Pinch of sea salt
- 225 ml Oat milk
- 1 Cup Ice cubes
In your chawan (shallow bowl) combine the ceremonial matcha , genmaicha tea powder and salt.
-
Gently pour in the hot water and using the bamboo whisk, whisk until it is well combined. Add in the white sugar and whisk until it is dissolved.
If you're using honey as a sweetener:
Omit the white sugar in this step and measure a tablespoon of liquid honey. Using a spoon, stir in the honey until it dissolves. Refrain from using the whisk as it will cause the honey to stick, making it difficult to clean.
Assemble the drink by adding the ice to the serving glass, followed by the oatmilk.
Carefully top of the oat milk with the prepared tea shot and your ready to enjoy! Don't forget to stir!
The pinch of sea salt enhances the roasty notes from our stone-milled genmaicha tea powder. If you plan to enjoy this unsweetened, omit the salt!
