Hong Kong Milk Tea



We know how much you all enjoy our Hong Kong milk tea, and we’ve finally concocted a home recipe for you! A perfect balance of sweet, paired with our bold black tea. 



  • Small stove pot with a lid
  • Strainer (for tea leaves) 
  • Mixing spoon
  • Measuring Tablespoon
  • 1 serving cup/ glass
  • 2 x glasses/ cups with an easy-to-pour spout 
  • 8 oz (hot) / 12 oz (iced) serving cup


For HOT | 8oz

  • 9.5g/ 3.5 Tbsp Classic Black Tea (use a heaping Tablespoon)
  • 300 ml HOT Water
  • 20-25 g Condensed Milk

For ICED | 16oz

  • 13g/ 4.5 Tbsp Classic Black Tea (use a heaping Tablespoon)
  • 300 ml HOT Water
  • 65 g Condensed Milk
  • 1 Cup Ice Cubes


For HOT | 8oz

  1. In a stove pot, combine the Classic Black Tea and water. *** Be sure to stir down the tea leaves to ensure all leaves are submerged in the hot water for proper steeping

  2. Allow it to simmer for 5 minutes with the lid on (turn stove on low heat).

  3. In your serving cup, add the condensed milk and set aside.

  4. Strain the "simmered tea" over one of the glasses/ cups with an easy-to-pour spout. 

  5. Aerate the strained tea by pouring the glass/ cup full of tea into another and repeating the motion at least 6 times.

  6. Pour your aerated tea straight into the serving cup with condensed milk and give it a thorough stir, then you are ready to sip on your creation.

For ICED | 16oz

  1. In a stove pot, combine the Classic Black Tea and water. *** Be sure to stir down the tea leaves to ensure all leaves are submerged in the hot water for proper steeping

  2. Allow it to simmer for 7 minutes with the lid on (turn stove on low heat).

  3. Then, complete steps 3, 4 and 5 in the Hot version above.

  4. Pour your aerated tea straight into the serving cup with condensed milk and give it a thorough stir

  5. Add the ice cubed into the serving cup and ENJOY!



...and then you have it! A refreshing Hong Kong milk tea made by you! This recipe pairs well with pearls to make it a bubble tea!


Useful Tips:



  • When aerating your tea, make sure to pour from an upright position, rather than interchanging the liquids at a close distance.
