Festive Honey Genmaicha Martini



A show-stopper for any holiday occasion! Enjoy an infusion of gin and our ricey and cozy genmaicha as you sip away into a festive realm.



  • Martini glass
  • Tea strainer
  • Teaspoon
  • Paring knife
  • Heat-proof cups


  • 3.5 tsp Genmaicha loose leaf tea
  • 1 TBSP Liquid honey
  • 45 ml Gin (this recipe uses tanqueray)
  • 1/2 Lemon (plus a wedge for garnishing)
  • 1/2 Cup Ice cubes
  • 100 ml Hot water


  1. In the heat-proof cup, add the genmaicha loose leaf tea and gently pour in 100ml of hot water. Allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes.

  2. Using the tea strainer, strain the tea into another heat-proof cup.

  3. Stir the honey into the prepared tea, until it is fully dissolved.

  4. In the same cup pour in the gin, the juice of half a lemon and the ice cubes.

    Optional:

    Prior to juicing half the lemon, reserve a slice of lemon for garnish

  5. Gently stir the drink until all the ice cubes have dissolved.

  6. With your martini glass in hand, gently pour the prepared drink into the glass. Top it off with a lemon wedge/rind for garnish. Enjoy!
