Meet Our Fall 2025 Ceremonial Matcha

Tea is a living reflection of nature, shaped by sunlight, rainfall, and the rhythm of the seasons. Just like fruit and wine, while farmers do their best to maintain consistency, no two harvests will ever taste identical -and that is exactly what makes each cup so special. So without further ado, here’s an introduction to our latest batch:

Tasting Notes: Nutty, Vegetal & Umami

This year’s Ceremonial Matcha carries a deeper umami and vegetal richness compared to our previous slightly nuttier batch. It is a beautiful expression of this year’s spring harvest in Japan, and each sip captures the care of the farmers and the unique character of the season.

In Japanese tea, umami comes from rich amino acids in the shaded young tea leaves, and is the deep, savoury, almost brothy note that lingers on your palette. This batch leans slightly more into umami than our previous one, making it ideal for matcha lovers looking to begin exploring more nuanced flavours.

If you’re new to umami-forward matcha, we recommend slightly adjusting your latte: a touch more sugar or a creamier nut milk, like pistachio or hazelnut, can round out the flavour beautifully.

We hope you experience this season’s harvest and discover the subtle differences that make each cup of Paragon matcha uniquely yours!
